Potter Ranch horses had a nice showing at the Cheyenne Frontier Days, Daddy of ’em all, rodeo. Cory Petska and Fancy (MP Speed Rock), roping with Justin Davis, won 3rd in the first round, and came back to the short round in 1st place. Sherry and Stingray (MP Meter My Hay) won 11th in the Long round, making it back to the short round; then the pair took 4th in the short round and moved up to 8th in the average.

PC Lonewood Ike, better known as Frisco, was ridden by Tanner Baldwin to a great showing at the 2012 National High School Rodeo Finals held in Rock Springs, WY. Tanner rode the great head horse, who is by Lone Drifter and out of a Sun Frost mare, to a 6th place finish at the Finals. They were 4th in the first go round, and 8th in the 2nd go. Way to go Tanner and Skeeter, and a tip of the hat to a great horse!

Sherry and Stingray update

Congrats to Sherry and Stingray on their performances this summer. The duo won 4th in the first round, 2nd in the Average and 4th in the Bonus round at the Ponoka, Alberta CANADA rodeo. They also hung in for a check winning 8th at the Canadian rodeo held in Airdrie. More recently, Sherry and Stingray won 7th at Vernal, UT and 9th at Sheridan, WY. They also won 7th in the Long round, and 5th in the Average at the Casper, WY rodeo.

Congratulations to Mel Potter and Garrison Dixon on their Team Roping Victory in Wapelo, IA. Mel was heading on PC Rebel Frost, a Sun Frost son out of a Rebel Cause mare; and Garrison was riding Lady N Redwood, a Potter Ranch raised daughter of Wilywood out of a Sun Frost / Red Man mare.

Congratulations to Trevor Badgett on his continued success on his beautiful mare, MP Moregunpowderplez, purchased from Potter Ranch. The pair have been having much success in the team roping at high school and other youth rodeos! Keep up the good work. Also, congratulations to the Badgett’s on the sale of another Potter Ranch raised gelding, MP Mel Potter (son of Lone Drifter out of Cedar Creek Sage) to legendary team roper, Tee Woolman!photo(2)
